The King’s Way provides a positive environment to bring restoration and motivate participants in areas of selfdevelopment, empowering them to be constructive members of our community. The King’s Way is a place of hope and encouragement. We want to see our community changed because : our home is here too.

Realizing the God had put us in the inner-city of downtown Hamilton, we began to reach out to our community with food-drives, community events and clothes distribution. While we were looking to open up a permanent location for a reach out drop-in centre, one of the coupleHot foods from our church with a heart to reach out to those in need opened up their home in the heart of the red light district on Emerald Street in downtown Hamilton Ontario, having a vision to help the less fortunate of society set aside Friday nights to reach those in need.

With a handful of pizza’s they started, giving them away to those homeless and destitute on the street, and soon the word was out that this couple was giving away pizzas on a Friday night from their home. What started out as a small beginning grew very rapidly to hundreds being helped each week. Child

Many from the surrounding neighbourhood heard about what was happening on Emerald Street and many had a heart to give so the donations started coming, clothing, furniture, small household items, what was once a 3 bedroom house started to look more like a warehouse facility. Dr. Russ and Mave Moyer had been seeking the Lord for a place to house our drop-in centre and a store front location was found and on November 2008, The Kings Way officially opened, where currently 200-250 clients per day walk through the doors and can sit and enjoy breakfast and a hot meal, along with having access to a weekly food bank, clothing and many programs that help empowKing's Wayer clients all of which are free of charge.

It has become well known in the inner city that King's Way  is a place of warmth, refuge, and restoration, open to all ages and ethnic diversity, a place of community for the community.

King's Way is operated through The Centre for Excellence, that takes a multi-faceted approach to meet the needs of some of the most seriously afflicted individuals and families in our community.  Through the CFE we combine counseling, recreation, education, and Christmastraining in a positive atmosphere to facilitate restoration and motivate participants in self-development that will allow them to be constructive members of our community and avoid a life of entitlement dependency. Our programs serve a complete cross-section of the community without prejudice to race, gender, culture or age.
