Ministries

Eagle Worldwide Ministries is called to bring Revival Fire to the nations of the world. We believe God is preparing to pour out His last great move of the Spirit before the return of our Lord, and our heart is to prepare, to equip the saints for this great Healing Revival that God will birth in our nation. Canada is being positioned to be poured out as a healing nation over the other nations of the world.

One of the key catch phrases in Christian circles today is "revival". Everywhere you turn, people are talking about revival. Revival is in the air! It's time that we take a moment and figure out what revival really is. For many years, particularly in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles when churches held special meetings, they would call them 'revival' meetings. So, people began to use the term 'revival' casually and hap hazardly.

In the past 120 years, there have been a number of major revivals and a few that had worldwide effect on the church.

Revival is a sovereign move of God's Spirit and I believe that any powerful move of the Spirit of God will occur in 3 stages.

1. Refreshing

In the refreshing stage, there are a number of characteristics that let you know that the church or group is experiencing a refreshing in their spirit. In this phase, the Lord comes and 'sprinkles' the church with His love.

2. Revival

There is a fresh revelation of the Father's heart and His love for the church.

3. Awakening

There is a hunger for prayer and a desire to do the work of service, and inner healing comes to the people who are broken. Joy is released to the broken hearted and those that have been wounded in church settings. Normally in this phase, you'll see other church members and church bodies begin to fellowship in, as denominational barriers begin to come down. There is a great deal of excitement and expectation. In current times, a good example of refreshing would be the 'Toronto Blessing' or the ministry of Rodney Howard Brown.

In this first phase of refreshing, we see many manifestations of the Spirit and worship is enhanced dramatically. People get slain in the Spirit, revelation and angelic and divine visitations and encounters occur.

In phase two, the move of God's Spirit is again earmarked for the church. This phase, in my opinion, is the Revival phase. Many churches that experience revival do not recognize it because they really do not know what to look for. Many of them expect a great influx of souls, first time commitments and salvations and certainly some of these do occur....but it's usually not in big numbers! Revival is not for the world. Revival is for the church.

The word 'revival' means 'to bring back to life' You can't bring the 'world' back to life because they were never alive! The object in this phase, is to bring a dead church back to life.

The following are some of the things you can look for in this phase:

  • A spirit of repentance for sin and idolatry
  • A reverance and fear of the Lord
  • A prayer burden of intercession for lost souls
  • Backsliders and prodigals come back to church
  • Joyful giving of time and resources
  • A hunger for the Word
  • Gifts of the Spirit are imparted and demonstrated during services
  • We begin to see miracles, signs and wonders
  • Worship goes to a deeper level of intimacy
  • Mass and individual deliverance occurs in services
  • Missionary emphasis
  • A heart for the nations
  • Lay people in the Body of Christ are equipped, empowered and released into ministry according to their giftings and callings

A good current example of revival would be the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida, where over 5 1/2 million people from every nation visited and were touched by the power of God; or the great Argentine Revival which is crusade oriented. The Asuza Street Revival of 1906, at Asuza Street in Los Angeles, California is the outpouring of God's Spirit where most Pentecostal and Charismatic churches can trace their roots back to. The evangelist was a one-eyed black man named William Seymour.

The third phase is Awakening. In this phases, the church finally breaks free from the bondage of a building and from traditions related to services and denominations and begins to reach out dramatically to evangelize the unsaved, to bring the power and the love of God to the streets, the schools, and the work place. The following are some of the things you will likely see in the awakening phase:

  • Ministry teams formed to evangelize
  • Outreach ministry once geared to the church, as in times past, now focuses on the unsaved and is presented in the secular market place, and with appeal to a broader base of people
  • You begin to hear stories of the power of God moving in factories and schools
  • Families are restored
  • The unsaved begin to have divine encounters and visitations
  • Denominationalism is removed and souls become top priority
  • A great divide is evident between the religious community and those being empowered and moving out in the spirit
