One of our very special Corporate Sponsors who is aware of our present needs and has a real heart for the Camp Retreat & Revival Centre has put forth a CHALLENGE and will Donate up to $10,000 - matching dollar-for-dollar, with a deadline of August 5th, 2011. THIS IS EXCITING! They have caught the vision and are CHALLENGING all of us who have a heart for the campground, to sow a seed – and this will be a double-sowed seed. They will match whatever we sow, up to $10,000. As some of you are already aware, last year we had a little natural calamity on our back lake. It damaged the lake and the culvert extensively. We have already completed the repairs and are presently reseeding some of the damaged wetland areas to meet all of our conservation and governmental requirements. We have a beautiful property right in the centre of the Greenbelt earmarked for recreational and special seasonal use; this restoration project has cost us more than $20,000. We’ve also encountered some other improvements necessary this year: parking lot lighting, water filtration system, beach volleyball court etc. Another corporate sponsor, Canaan Kitchen’s – Joe and Deb Sloane – have done a beautiful job in renovating our Camp Kitchen and Dining Room. We still need to do more work in these two areas, including painting, finishing touches and some appliances. We also want to extend our existing parking area with more crushed asphalt. All of these projects can be completed for an additional $15,000. This is a great time to press in to the blessing of God. SPECIAL NOTE!

Last night, Monday July 11th, we shared the Special Camp Challenge at the beginning of the meeting. Another business person who was in attendance was moved by the Challenge, and also has a heart for the vision at the Campground. He announced that he would also put a matching $10,000 as a challenge. So now, every dollar sowed will be like $3.00, a “triple-sowed seed” – this is exciting and we are believing God for more. Our present need is $35,000 and we’re believing for $50,000 and pressing in to all that God has for us in this season.

SPECIAL NEWS UPDATE! (July 19th, 2011)

Last night we shared the Special Camp Challenge at one of our covenant churches and a business man in attendance there was moved by the challenge and offered to put up another $10,000 in this challenge. Now, for every seed you sow, your one seed is multipled not two, not three, but four times, your seed now becomes a quadruple sowed seed before the Lord - a miraculous multiplication of seed. If you sow $10 it's like you sowed $40. If you sow $50 it's like you sowed $200. If you sowed $500 it's like you sowed $2000! Whatever you sow, it's quadrupled.
